The Earth Day 2013 celebration will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Donnelly Park. The Mount Dora Friends of the Environment are hosting this event. At this free event you will be able to participate in educational workshops, visit with environmentally friendly vendors, and receive giveaways. Entertainment will be provided by Clicker, T. Scott Walker, Dr. Pat Ward, Dr. Cliff Shooker, and Olivia Willis. The Lake County Water Authority has canoes and kayaks that can be reserved in advanced. Registration is also open for the 9 a.m. Lake Dora clean-up at Gilbert Park. Participants will receive food, refreshments, and a t-shirt.
