October is definitely here! We are experiencing a bit of cooler weather for the first time this season, stores are putting out their fall decorations and Halloween costumes, and it is time for hayrides. Dade Battlefield Historic State Park will be hosting haunted hayrides and trails on Friday and Saturday, October 26th and 27th, from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Not only will you be able to ride hayrides and walk on the trails, but you will encounter soldiers, pioneers, and Seminoles from the past! This event has something for all ages. There are some trails geared more toward younger kids and some for older kids and adults. There will also be music for everyone on the grounds, and there will be a bounce house, free drinks, and candy for the kids. It only costs $3 to enter the park.
