School is getting ready to begin, but before you send your child to school you must purchase the necessary school supplies: crayons, pencils, pens, highlighters, notebooks, binders, folders, backpacks, lunchboxes, etc. Though these items aren’t too expensive on their own, they manage to rack up a pretty large bill by the time you check out. Some people do not have the money to afford school supplies for their children. As we shift into back-to-school mode, think of others and donate to those in need. The Miss Leesburg Scholarship Program is throwing a back-to-school drive at Miss Daisy’s Flowers and Gifts. The given supplies will be donated to the Head Start program, which is a program that helps preschool children from low-income families. As a “thank you” for your generosity, Miss Daisy’s will be giving out free flowers to those who donate supplies. If you are interested, drop off any school-related supplies to Miss Daisy’s Flowers and Gifts at 1024 W Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748. The last day to donate supplies is August 17th, which is this Wednesday. Your donations will be much appreciated!
