When it comes to the weekend, we are always looking for some sort of entertainment. Whether it is looking to see what movie just started or debating about which restaurant to go to, we all want to have a good time. If you’re stumped about what to do this weekend, you don’t have to look far to find something fun to do.
Going to the movies…
There are a few movie theaters you can choose from in the lake county area: AMC Movie Theater located in the Lake Square Mall, the Rialto Theater located in the Villages Spanish Springs, and the Old Mill Theater located in the Villages Lake Sumter Landing. You could even go outside the box and visit Ocala Drive-In Theater or the Regal Pointe IMAX Theater located in Orlando. Be sure to be on the lookout for new movies coming out such as Step Up Revolution, Total Recall, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, and The Bourne Legacy. Headed to the movies this weekend? Check out movies such as The Dark Knight Rises, Ice Age: Continental Drift, The Amazing Spider-Man, or People Like Us.
Grabbing a bite to eat…
There are some fun places to eat at here in the Lake County area. If you are looking for something more on the casual side, head to a restaurant such as Levi’s Bistro, Chili’s, Stavro’s, Kiku Japanese Steakhouse, Oakwood, Texas Stockyards BBQ, Ramshackle, Wolfy’s, or Ay Jalisco. If you are looking for something more on the formal side, check out the Goblin Market, Carrabba’s, Outback, or the Lakeside Inn. Looking for something sweet to eat, try Cupcake Delights, Dairy Ranch, Kilwins, or Dunkin Donut/Baskin Robbins.
Heading to the play…
Want to head out to see a local play; we have some great local theaters! Camelot is currently playing at the Bay Street Players located in Eustis, The Fox on the Fairway is currently playing at the Melon Patch in Leesburg, and Into the Woods is currently playing at the Ice House located in Mt. Dora.
Wanting a more active night…
Not feeling like sitting and watching a show, we have some fun places to go here in lake county such as Skate World, AMF Leesburg Lanes, Citrus Tower, Adventure Cove Mini Golf, Hot Air Balloon Tours, Renninger’s Twin Markets, and Uncle Donald’s Farm.
